Street food has been meeting new challenges in recent times, the establishments or as I call them 'THE MAN" wants to bring down the small business food owners on wheels, push carts and stands. New laws are being passed by local governments in the big cities to limit food trucks from making business.
Some of the restaurants complain food trucks are taking their business away and others are creating their own trucks. Other business owners and city governments are starting to see food trucks can actually contribute to their economic growth also and are allowing food trucks at parking lots and food truck fairs everywhere.
So why so much controversy, DAMN IT! Let the little guy make some loot, also the food is amazing, genuine and creative. So I pledge to you my foodies in arms defend your local food trucks and vendors and fight "THE MAN". YO! YOU DIG!
